As of today, April 9th, Cipango is still at Dencho Marine, the keel is on and the boat will be repainted! The mast work continues, and the boat is expected to splash sometime late this month.
It's encouraging to see a few more boats signed up for TransPac, and it looks like we have a competitive fleet including four 'Cruz 50's, three 52's, and Artimis, the Andrews 53 and a few others! Take a look at the entry list at:

I know Rossi has been gathering data from Alan Andrews and getting ready for some boat time, Rob and Bob are writing checks big as Texas, JP has been out winning on TNT locally, Skinny is getting Mayhem ramped up for the season, and I have been doing the RP45 thing and helping a local guy get his SC50 'Deception' set up. I suspect JB (not JP - we have to do something about those names) is doing some Thursday night racing at T.I., but haven't seen much of him these days! What's up JB? All good? Nobody know what Doolittle is doing. I think he likes it that way.
Looking frorward to seeing everyone soon. Stay tuned for a post reviewing upcoming calendar items.
